Kristina Huckstep, LCSW

EMDR Certified Therapist/Owner

Clients

I specialize in providing EMDR intensive therapy for adults seeking deep healing and meaningful change. My intensives—available in 3-hour half-day or 6-hour full-day formats—are designed for individuals who have recently experienced trauma or continue to carry the weight of ongoing challenges. I have extensive experience supporting adult survivors of natural disasters, car accidents, pregnancy loss, assault, sexual assault, medical diagnoses, combat trauma, and complex or ongoing trauma. I also work closely with first responders, veterans, active-duty military, and their spouses, as well as those facing PTSD, anxiety, depression, dissociation, suicidal thoughts, relationship challenges, infertility, parenthood struggles, or the lasting impact of childhood trauma. Many of my clients identify as high achievers or perfectionists, feel stuck in patterns of stress or worry, or long for relief from anxious thoughts and overwhelming emotions. I also have a heart for moms navigating work-life balance, adoptees, and those carrying invisible burdens that impact their daily lives. In addition, I am skilled in working with other mental health professionals who are seeking EMDR therapy for their own healing. Alongside EMDR, I bring my background as a 200-hour yoga teacher to offer mind-body practices that can be incorporated into intensives if desired. For clients who value faith, I am also able to integrate prayer and Christian-centered approaches into the healing process.

Clinicians

I provide consultation for EMDR therapists who are seeking clarity, confidence, and growth in their practice. I work with EMDR basic-trained clinicians who may feel intimidated or confused by the protocol and want practical, streamlined methods to make implementation easier and more effective. I also support therapists who are interested in learning how to incorporate EMDR intensives into their work, as well as those pursuing EMDR certification and looking for guidance along the way. My goal is to create a collaborative space where you feel supported and equipped to grow both personally and professionally as an EMDR therapist.

  • "Working with Kristina Huckstep as my EMDR therapist was such a gift. She was always timely, kind, and incredibly genuine. It was clear this was never just a job to her; she is genuinely passionate about helping her clients heal. Kristina listened to all of my questions and doubts with patience and compassion, never rushing me or making me feel dismissed. She said we did 2 years' worth of therapy in just 3 days. I'm so grateful for her and her process. She created a safe space where I could be honest and vulnerable, and she guided me with both empathy and expertise. Every dollar spent with her was absolutely worth it. I’m so grateful for the progress I've made and the impact she’s had on my life. I would highly recommend Kristina to anyone looking for an EMDR therapist who is both skilled and truly invested in their healing."

  • "What a neat experience! I was able to work through such a stressful and triggering time without having to talk about it all. I was able to use artwork in my session to process my stressful experience so easily and Kristina guided me through it to where I felt so calm and competent to handle the challenge I have been facing. Thank you!"
