Kristina Huckstep, LCSW
EMDR Certified Therapist/Owner
Clients
I specialize in providing EMDR intensive therapy for adults seeking deep healing and meaningful change. My intensives—available in 3-hour half-day or 6-hour full-day formats—are designed for individuals who have recently experienced trauma or continue to carry the weight of ongoing challenges. I have extensive experience supporting adult survivors of natural disasters, car accidents, pregnancy loss, assault, sexual assault, medical diagnoses, combat trauma, and complex or ongoing trauma. I also work closely with first responders, veterans, active-duty military, and their spouses, as well as those facing PTSD, anxiety, depression, dissociation, suicidal thoughts, relationship challenges, infertility, parenthood struggles, or the lasting impact of childhood trauma. Many of my clients identify as high achievers or perfectionists, feel stuck in patterns of stress or worry, or long for relief from anxious thoughts and overwhelming emotions. I also have a heart for moms navigating work-life balance, adoptees, and those carrying invisible burdens that impact their daily lives. In addition, I am skilled in working with other mental health professionals who are seeking EMDR therapy for their own healing. Alongside EMDR, I bring my background as a 200-hour yoga teacher to offer mind-body practices that can be incorporated into intensives if desired. For clients who value faith, I am also able to integrate prayer and Christian-centered approaches into the healing process.
Clinicians
I provide consultation for EMDR therapists who are seeking clarity, confidence, and growth in their practice. I work with EMDR basic-trained clinicians who may feel intimidated or confused by the protocol and want practical, streamlined methods to make implementation easier and more effective. I also support therapists who are interested in learning how to incorporate EMDR intensives into their work, as well as those pursuing EMDR certification and looking for guidance along the way. My goal is to create a collaborative space where you feel supported and equipped to grow both personally and professionally as an EMDR therapist.
